Happy day finally arrives and you get your CALL from the Adoption Board. The CALL will now request your instructions as to how you want to organise translation of documents. You will NOT get any details of baby until after Article 17 is issued.
After translation the medical team of the Adoption Board review the referral and ensure it is in line with the Declaration and Home Study approval.
Then the referral is submitted to a meeting of the Adoption Board and you will get your CALL.
- If you can get the Social Welfare Institute name and the Province name then you can start to find the address for your camera parcel.
You can choose to go to Dublin to pick it up - the lovely photo, the medical details & status report,
- Or you can get it sent Registered post to your address,
ACCEPTANCE is the first priority... TRAVEL PLANS next. VISA next... PACK. FLY OFF
All along the way members get a series of ICCG emails with reminders of what needs to be done at each point, including hints on many of the subtle details you may not know or remember. SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Great thing is there will probably be others with referrals on the same day from the same province and usually the same SWI so you can link up and travel together if you like.
Key thing to know is that travel is usually 5- 6 weeks after acceptance.
